Please observe these guidelines during the call:
- Telehealth is not for emergency medical concerns. In these cases, please call 911 or visit your closest emergency department.
- If you are using the Athena portal to access your visit, please log in 10 minutes early to ensure that your microphone and camera are working properly.
- Move to a private space where you will feel comfortable discussing your medical concerns. To protect your confidential health information, please make sure you are alone or with someone that you wish to share your information with. BCAR is not responsible for information shared to those present on the patient’s end during the virtual appointment.
- Make sure your environment is quiet so you and your provider will be able to hear each other.
- Have the provider’s phone number on hand in case you have technical difficulties and need assistance.
There are occasions that an in person follow up may be required.
We strive to provide clients with the same quality of care in our clinic and via telemedicine.
