Once you become a client at BCAR, you can access a variety of services, including medical, dental, nutritional advice, case management and our pharmacy.

As a client of BCAR you will have certain rights and responsibilities. A copy of our Consumer Rights and Responsibilities is provided to every new client at the time of registration and forms the basis of the relationship between BCAR and each client we serve. |

All clients who go through the Intake Process will receive a copy of the agency’s grievance procedure and a copy of the Consumer Rights and Responsibilities.

- perform a comprehensive assessment of your current situation
- determine which of our services can help you
- determine your eligibility for those services
- determine any outside services that could benefit you, and initiate any referral process those services require
Please bring as many of the following documents , if you don't have all the required, our Care Coordinators will assist you in completing the list:
- Identification (ex: Texas ID, LUPE ID, Matricula Consular, Tarjeta de elector, or TDCJ ID)
- Proof of Residence (Utility Bills, Lease Agreement, Mortgage Statement, etc)
- Proof of Income (3 months worth of Pay stubs, last year’s W2 forms if employed, if unemployed, a supporters statement can be provided to you, Social Security Income Award Letter)
- Copy of Medicaid, food stamp, ADAP or other private insurance card, if you have them (Note: Insurance is not required to apply for services)
- Proof of HIV status (Labs or medical records)
- List of any current medications
BCAR offers a variety of services to our clients. Our helpful staff are here to determine what help YOU need, what help you’re eligible for, and what outside services we can refer you to for assistance that we don’t provide.

Once you are admitted to service, you and your care coordinator will determine if you need medical case management, non medical case management or no case management.

If case management is determined, you will complete additional assessments and screenings with your case manager to determine what services best suit your needs.

If you wish to use our clinic for HIV care, an appointment will be set up at this time with our provider.
